The project story
Designed for the tree and the place.
The original stump offered enough height and width for a tall composition. Aaron used the natural vertical shape to place the owl above a sunflower and mountain landscape, allowing the scene to read clearly from a distance.
Projects like this begin with photos from several sides, stump measurements, access details, and the most important viewing angle. The final design follows the sound wood rather than forcing a stock pattern onto the tree.
